These guys are good. Or so goes the PGA Tour's marketing slogan. Well, now you can measure yourself against the best in the game as the PGA Tour's 2001 Invensys Classic at Las Vegas was played over the 18 holes of the TPC at The Canyons. Bob Estes is the defending champion. Plus, the Senior PGA Tour played the Las Vegas Senior Classic at the course for several years in the late 1990s. Desert elegance best describes the course that flows through the canyons and arroyos of northwest Las Vegas. The TPC at The Canyons was rated one of the top 50 courses for great service. Superb practice facilities are available and The Grille serves breakfast and lunch. The facility can also host corporate outings.

The Tournament Players Club at The Canyons is in the three-course rotation of the Las Vegas Invitational. This Bobby Weed-designed course rolls through the canyons and arroyos of Northwest Las Vegas, and is a great test of a player's game. Forced carries over canyons highlight this scenic par-71 course that is as beautiful as it is challenging. Water comes into play on just one hole -- the 18th (Although water also is located off to your left on the 10th tee, it probably won't come into play.). But whatever the course lacks in water, it more than makes up for in sand, boasting 86 bunkers that dot the course. The 2nd hole, a 196-yard par 3 (from the tips) is an all-or-nothing hole. The island green is surrounded by desert and features a lone bunker in back. The hole plays downhill and a little shorter than listed, but a 3 here is still a great score. The forced carry on the hole is just one of many golfers will encounter.
